Known
for its "forward thinking" instruction and inspiration, Hooked in the Mountains Workshops offers a wide variety
of topics, including Waldoboro, landscapes, punch needle, braiding, primitives, pictorials, hooked purses, and holiday gifts.
We also offer a beginning rug hooking class. Our staff includes some of the best teachers on the national and international
scene. The workshops are limited to no more than 15 students per class.
As a special treat for all our students, arrangements with
the Shelburne Museum to tour Electra Havemeyer Webb’s summer home at Shelburne Farms. “The Brick House”
has dozens of antique hooked rugs on display.
Hooked in the Mountains Workshops runs concurrently with the
Green Mountain Rug Hooking Guild's Hooked in the Mountains Rug Show. The show is held in the Shelburne
Musuem's round barn.
This rug show is often called "the best rug show"
with usually 400 or more rugs on display. The rug show also has a large number of wonderful vendors.
All registered students receive free entry into the show and venders during the days of their workshop.
Take a late fall journey into beautiful Vermont and see what we have to offer!
